This year, for the month of Elul, as we prepare for the High Holy Days and begin a new year of learning together, join us for a special four-part Shabbat Torah Study series exploring Shai Held’s acclaimed book Judaism Is About Love. Through thoughtful discussion of each of the book’s four sections, we will reflect on the central role of love in Jewish life and tradition while launching Temple Beth Sholom’s year-long learning theme, Layers of Love.
Sessions will take place during Shabbat Torah Study from 9:30–10:30 am on August 15, 22, and 29, and September 5. No prior reading is required, though participants are encouraged to engage with the book as we journey together into the new year!
