Gift of Israel

Give Your Child the Gift of Israel!

Invest in your child’s Jewish future by participating in Gift of Israel, a plan to help you save for their educational experience in Israel. This is an opportunity to cover a significant portion of Israel program costs by accumulating annual matching $100 contributions from your family, the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and Temple Beth Sholom.

The Gift of Israel account may be used for a peer-based Israel travel program with Jewish educational content. In order to be eligible to receive matching funds for travel on an Israel program, a child must be enrolled in Gift of Israel for at least three years. Your child is eligible to participate in Gift of Israel if they are:

• A Kindergarten through 9th grade student

• A resident of Miami-Dade County

Yearly contributions are:

• A minimum of $100 from your family

• $100 from Federation

• $100 from Temple Beth Sholom (as long as you remain a member in good standing)

Families that enroll and contribute to a Gift of Israel account beginning in Kindergarten can save as much as $3,000, plus interest, for their child’s Israel experience. The accumulated funds may be accessed for Israel experiences from 8th grade until age 26.

Relatives and friends can add to each child’s Gift of Israel account in honor of B’Mitzvah, graduation and other celebrations. These additional contributions are not matched by Federation or Temple Beth Sholom, but will increase your account’s principal and accrued interest.

Enroll your child in Gift of Israel and take the first steps toward their life-changing Israel experience!
