Yom HaZikaron and Yom Ha’atzm’aut

Monday, May 13

1:00 pm – A Zoom opportunity for our congregation to join MASA Yom HaZikaron Commemoration livestream – Board Room Reserved. Link to watch.

Evening Program in the Chapel and Palm Court

6:00 pm in the Chapel – We start with Yom HaZikaron – 30 minutes. A beautiful reflective service with music lead by Cantor Porat and readings by jLAB students and our Clergy.

We’ll explain the significance of Yom HaZikaron and why it’s deliberately placed the day before Yom Ha’tzma’ut and offer a tribute to fallen soldiers, particularly those lost on and since October 7.

Once the siren sounds, we make our way to Palm Plaza in silence.

6:30 pm in Palm Plaza – Come outside and transition from the solemn to a celebration.

We’ll offer a variety of Israeli food to celebrate diversity of Israeli cuisine – with cool facts on cards about the food and the communities represented.
