What Makes JLAB Special

jLAB offers a holistic learning experience, blurring the lines between formal and informal education. Learners have opportunities to explore Judaism in ways that apply to all aspects of their lives, with guidance from educators who are more than just instructors – they are partners in learning.

Elementary School
Grades k-5

  • Saturday mornings with experiential group learning
  • Wednesday afternoons with choice of start times
  • Exploration of Jewish topics through technology, art, movement, and more

Middle School
grades 6-8

  • Monday afternoons in-person OR Tuesday evenings online
  • Exploration of Jewish topics through technology, art, movement, and more
  • Prayer class as part of B’Mitzvah preparation

High School/Confirmation Grades 9-10

  • Twice monthly classes for Grade 9, taught by Barb Shimansky
  • Weekly classes for Grade 10, taught by Rabbi Loiben and Rabbi Jacobs
  • Grade 10 trip to L’Taken seminar in Washington, D.C.

Schedule

Below are the scheduling options for all grades for the 2023-2024 school year:

Grades k-5

  • Saturdays: 9:30 - 11:30 am AND
  • Wednesdays: 2:30 - 4:30pm OR
  • Wednesdays: 3:30 - 5:30pm

Grades 6-8

  • Mondays In Person: 4:30 - 7:00pm OR
  • Tuesdays Online: 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Grade 9
